Absolutely LOVE this hotel. It has so much charm and the service is impeccable. The furnishings in the suites are very “Minnesota” and the attention to the small details really creates a homey yet chic vibe. The bar and restaurant are also 5 Stars. Treat yourself!
Wonderful place. Especially the staff. The lobby is a really great place to hang out. The room was a bit small, though there was ample space in the restroom. Beautiful architecture as is the case with so many places around the city. Really recommend to any one coming by especially if your stay affords you some time to relax.
Hotel is beautiful. Restaurant experience was not great. Came for Thanksgiving dinner. Ordered the Prime Rib. Looked like 2 slices of prosciutto. Ridiculous. Asked for bread and were told "Not doing bread service tonight". Really? Sides of green beans, stuffing and sweet potatoes were good as was the desert.
Best to have drinks and go elsewhere for dinner.
We stayed at The Hewing for two nights, enjoyed dinner, cocktails on the rooftop. Every minute of it was so damn good. The decor was gorgeous, the staff was beyond helpful and made some mean cocktails for myself and other guests. They were attentive when we needed anything for our room. Check in and check out was smooth. It was perfect!
I have not stayed in the hotel but if it's anything like the high quality of service you get at the bar then it's a great hotel. High quality drinks made by people that actually know tons about them. This bar is truly deluxe.
Also major bonus if you are a car person. This place is literally the pinnacle of exotic cars in Minneapolis. Absolutely amazing vehicles parked outside regularly for your viewing pleasure.
