Been in room only 10 minutes and already hate it. Refrigerator does not work. They have Keurig plugged into like 10 to 15 ft extension cord which is plugged into power strip which is plugged into wall. Not sure that is even up to code and would pass fire marshal inspection. Thankfully we got a reduced rate as I would never stay here based on their normal price. Room very small, stains on the wall paper. Bed is horbally soft and you roll to the ends. I've stayed in super 8 better than this. Only great thing going for it is the location, close to MN Aquatic Center.
Hotel was very clean and modern. Decor was quirky. A little too preppy for my tastes. Lobby is very nice. Comfy fireplaces, but was crowded during my stay. Bed was comfortable.
All newly refurbished from lobby to rooms. Really fun aesthetic throughout the hotel. Very comfortable beds. Right on campus
The only reason I don't give this hotel a full five stars is the noise coming from the wall. Sounds like a shower turning on, but it has persisted all day. Hopefully it stops while I'm trying to sleep.
Update: When we checked out front desk noted general manager saw my post and gave us a certificate for a stay. They were very in tune to making things right which was impressive. Great to see management watching reviews and taking action. Will give them a try again at a later date.
This was my first stay at this hotel under any name. The hotel is a college themed hotel that sells a nostalgic experience. The decor is a trendy retro. Our room was on the eighth floor by the elevator, but there wasn't noise from the hallway. The valet helped us with our bags and offered the full service for a mere $27/night, which included unlimited in and out parking. We were in town for the Gopher hockey game, and the arena was just a couple of blocks away. The price was great for the location.
Great hotel experience. The lobby was clean (although crowded with students) and the gentleman at the front desk was helpful and nice. My room is clean and well stocked with modern amenities. The decorations are weird (modern meets film noir meets pin up). The Starbucks, Applebee's and Beacon restaurants are convenient to have here.
