My friends and I had a three night visit in Minneapolis, and despite this trip being my first visit to Minneapolis we gladly spent two out of our three nights at this brewery. The service was good, and the food was pretty good, but the selection of beer was great. My next trip to the Twin Cities will definitely feature multiple stops at this brewery again. The Pentagram is one of the best beers I've ever tasted hands down. I look forward to visiting this brewery again.

Absolutely love this place. The beer hall was packed with positive energy. The staff did a phenomenal job despite the chaos that was a packed house. We were lucky enough to book a tour beforehand. Highly recommend the tour, they’ve got a great story to tell about the history of the company, explanation of the brewing process (and scale) and what sets them apart from other breweries. Then the highlight, guided tasting of three of their beers. For $6 you get the tour, a tasting glass, and $1 of your admission goes to a local charity. The food was top notch, the limited menu allows them to focus in on the quality of the food, and quickness of the service. We had a great overall experience.

I have been on several beer tours in the US and Germany and have to say that this one was up there with the best. Being a newer brewery means they don’t have the long history to show off. It was pretty cool to learn how they started and more of a dive into the brewing process.

As always, the beer was fresh, tasty, and interesting. We toured at 1:00-2:00 and then sat at the bar until about 4:30; we didn't eat. The bartenders were also friendly and informative.

Surly continues to be my go to destination brewery (i.e. pretty and tasty) anytime we have visitors in town. Bonus points for actually having 2 gluten free beers that don't taste like beer flavored water. The tour is fun but not amazing, but the samples and glass at the end make up for it.

Excellent food. The Hog Frites are very good as are all of the smoked meats. We had 3 people for lunch and just ordered 2 appetizers and a meat plate which was more than enough food. Beers are obviously great.

Our tour was a great experience. The guide, Colby, was enthusiastic and knowledgable. He was happy to answer our questions, and made sure that we learned a lot and had a good time. I would have happily spent more time talking about the brewery and beer (and trying new beers), but I was satisfied with the time we got. The souvenir glass is pretty cool, too.
