Bottomline: Dont go there if you were paid to!
I like the place. but the think I don't like is it has to much VIP there is not place to put my drink we can sit anywhere
No idea why the other people gave it 1 star- wish I could give it 10 stars. Its nothing like the sleazy places downtown like drink and aqua which are filled with suburbanites out for a night in the "big city" in their forever 21 clothes listening to KDWB music. The dj's here are real artists, sometimes local and sometimes big shots. The music is not KDWB thankfully, and in the summer they have 3 different dj's, one in the back, 1 in the front room, and one on the patio. Last time they had bollywood music in the front room and some dancers from a local studio. Another time they had a guy on saxophone playing along with techno, and they've also had a pairing of electric violin and techno. What is truly amazing about Soundbar is the huge range in ages, class, and interests. Every time I've been to Soundbar I've met interesting and friendly people. I highly recommend it, and I hope it continues to be part of the Minneapolis scene.
No. You wouldn't know this place existed if you walked right by. Wow, that's so "underground" and "mysterious"! This must be where the kids go to do "E", listen to bad music, and dance like morons. Pretty, pretty, pretty lame. Pull up your pants.
Possibly the worst club in Minneapolis!!! Went for the Indian Club special and the DJ coulndt mix for nuts! The place is really small and the music so out of sync and rhythm ; The drinks are crazy expensive for such a crappy place. 9$ for a whisky!
