Good beer. Fish and chips were really pretty good. A little spendy. Not the largest portions...
What can I say? This place offers beer that comes in liters and it's considered acceptable. It seems to me that that is the only size of beer that should be served anywhere. The mac and cheese with bratwurst was really good and the service was quick.
I had a horrible experience here, I was there for the pub crawl sober canning and so there was no excuse for the way I was treated. Tony the waitress was so rude and cussed at me and my friends even though I tried to explain that they were intoxicated. She was so not understanding. I think this could be a good calm place and the food smelled great but I will never go back here for an event. The bartenders even seemed drunk or hung over or they were just letting there emotions get to them, I'm a bartender myself and no matter the situation you have to just do your job. I would give no stars but we had a server named Craig and he was amazing I loved him and he deserves to get a raise and head server position. In all honesty he needs to move to a better establishment.
Great German bar and restaurant. Themed nicely, feels cozy, but seats many. Guests got various things and said they were great. I had the bleu cheese burger, it was fabulous. Where ever they get their cheese, it was near perfect.
Service was prompt, we stopped in right after the lunch rush so it was pretty empty. Lunch rushes will fill up during the weekday. I'd imagine before games also, due to vicinity of the Target Center/Field. Good selection of tap and bottled beer. Quite a few local brands.
One of the oldest bars in Minneapolis. Big beers. Friendly staff. May look small from the front but is a very long bar. When Root City band plays it is the best local thing going on in Minneapolis. I met some of my best friends at this place.
