Service was good. The bartenders were rushed because of how busy it was, but they did a good job of keeping it together. My only issue was that the bartender serving me assumed that I was buying a drink for a friend of mine that came up behind me. It wasn't that big of a deal to me, but my strong willed independent woman of a friend was a little upset(I think she was trying to hit the tab minimum for her card so that she wouldn't have to order anything else). The bartender was rushing off to serve others before we realized what happened. Not my issue with the place though.
Pretty sure I got sick from their beer on draft. I had one beer and felt like I had six. They should probably check their tap lines
Don't even bother. You will be turned away at the door if you don't fit the definition of "a regular"-- and I've literally lived in the neighborhood for some time. They think they're too cool and indie for some patrons.. even though they're on one of the busiest streets in uptown. Save your time and go to The Bulldog across the street.
The real issue was how rude the guy working the floor was. Just a bad disposition. Using unnecessarily harsh language when a simple "Patio is closed" would have sufficed. It was almost like he was trying to piss people off at the end of the night. If not for him the rating would be much higher.
I love the atmosphere of this bar. I'm a big fan of the cheap beer and small bar vibe, very old school. Unfortunately I wasnt impressed with the way we were treated by the bar tender. I won't be returning solely for that reason. If that doesn't bother you then the prices were great too
