A friend of mine ordered tandoori chicken and he liked it. Another friend ordered cheese sandwich with some kind of tomato soup and I heard lot of praises about it too.
Since the place is located in the downtown region it is easily accessible but I am not sure about the parking space because we walked there from the Minneapolis Convention Center.
Very rude and ignorant doorman. We were coming to this restaurant for a late night eat. The doorman asked my wife and I for our IDs, we’re both well into our forty’s. Neither of us had them as we left them at our hotel a few blocks away, I did have pics of them on our phone but that was unacceptable. So we decided to order to go. The doorman tried to take our order but completely screwed it up 3 times even though we showed him on the menu what we wanted, he finally bitched that he was not a waiter. At this point we told him we’ll go somewhere else, his response was GOOD...never tried the food.
The atmosphere was good. Lots of TV to watch sporting events on. Lots of beer and whiskey choices. The food was good. Was there in the late afternoon and there were no crowds. Good experience. Would recommend this place.
Decided to have lunch here with a bunch of Canadian friends. Staff was courteous and service was quick. I ordered fish and chips for myself. I'd say that it wasn't the best Fish and Chips I have had, although it wasn't bad either. The place is a bit pricey but then it is located near the heart of downtown. Serving of fish and chips consisted of a single fish fry with lots of potato fries - I was expecting more than that.
Very welcoming. Great service and great selection on their menu. Really enjoyed the fried Mac and cheese. Scotch eggs are great too. Good for lunch, dinner, or a few rounds with friends.
I have gone there only once. It really did not feel authentic. It felt more like an American restaurant pretending to be an English pub. I, have to agree about the service that so many gripe about. Good food but the prices are just crazy to me. Also, it does not bring back the memories which I am looking for. The lawn is cool but not worth it with all the other problems.
Overall it is a good place to hangout with friends for drinks.
