I'm going to be as honest as possible.
I sat at the bar, bartender was very nice and prompt with greeting me. I just got water, as I had a professional job later on in the night. I asked him about a few options, and ended up going with a bacon hamburger.
It was about 730-8pm on a Wednesday (7/5/17) when I came here.
After my order was in, I wanted to remind him I had ordered no cheese, and he was prompt in making sure it was accurate. After that I didn't need to be attended at all until my food arrived. Took about 15 minutes to receive, it was accurate and well presented on the plate. Cooked to my order (medium rare) as well.
Nice environment. More open than the previous restaurant (Ling and Louie's). Food is below average for this type of place. John Randall makes frequent appearances, which is a huge perk. :)
Overall it was a fine experience and I would return here happily. 4 stars because the price was a little high for the simplicity of my order but everything else was satisfying.
While I'm not a big fan of sports bars in general, I would make the case that this is a UK style local that happens to check all of the boxes for what folks expect from a sports bar: zillions of TVs tuned to ESPN 1-300, pool tables, plenty of beers and deliciously fried stuff.
The staff is attentive, professional and confident. Prices are better than most, and there is zero chain-vibe... The bar staff doesn't upsell, and I never felt like a table to be turned.
Great venue and excellent menu! I appreciate the diversity of their selections and have always had a great experience. I recommend anything on the starter menu, especially the sushi! More traditional bar options include cheese curds, sliders and wings. The burgers (both turkey and the Randle's Double Cheeseburger) are awesome! Great for happy hour or game day experience. They have largest TV selection I've seen and their big screen in the main room is massive. One of the few rooftop patios downtown and also have street level patio seating on Nicollet Mall. John Randle is regularly in the restaurant and the NFL network was in shooting a special on him this summer. Really cool place and food is great!
Full disclosure: I'm a very low-needs customer. As long as I have my order correct and my glass full, I don't need much in the way of attention.
Very tasty burger in my opinion. Bacon was delicious and thick cut. Bun was good, right size for the burger so it didn't get gooey nor was it too much bread. I ordered fries as my side, and while I wish there were a few more, it was a fine serving size for my appetite.
Not very good experience, bought Bloody Mary for friend did have condiments to go with. Nachos 13.00 for cheese, chips and a few veggies. Way overrated! Waitstaff seemed unfazed about customer service! Don’t waste your money, I would actually like a fefund !
Bill was $16 dollars, which for the taste and size is slightly more than I would have preferred (I thought $10-$12 range would have been better).
