My impression of what occurred is that this bouncer was upset that I wasn't interested in him and wanted to teach me a lesson by having me tossed out. His position as part of security should have been announced immediately when he came up to me.
My friend loves iron butterflys, but when she ordered the bartender told her "this isn't an Applebees". She tried to tell him the ingredients he was so rude. We spent our Friday night elsewhere.
Super packed, no you can't dance without someone else bumping, falling or stepping into you.
My friend had one of the club heads come out, but in my eyes, he did not seem to care about what had happened. I will never be returning to this bar. I don't feel that it is a safe place to have a good time. I would never have imagined something like this happening to me.
It was near the end of the night. I was standing against an open wall waiting for my girlfriend to come back and closed my eyes for a minute as I was listening to the music and thinking about the night. All of a sudden a random guy came up into my personal space without an introduction, startling me, and gave me the impression that he was trying to hit on me. I said to back away. He began to put his arms on me and I pushed them off, telling him don't touch me. Turns out he was a bouncer, but dressed in clothes like any other patron. He then spoke into his hidden mouth piece to say he had a girl that was sleeping. I was in disbelief of what was going on. I kept saying I'm waiting for my friend. He said I'm getting kicked out for hitting a security guard (I had pushed his arms off me?). All I did was defend myself. He then aggressively lifted me straight up in the air with my arms restrained at my sides and dramatically hurried me to the front stairs to push me off to another bouncer. Nothing I said could turn any of it around. The other bouncer said I was tagged to get out and continued to push me up the stairs out the door. Mind you it was about 20 degrees outside and windy; my friend had checked our coats. I said at least let me have my coat to go outside with. Since I wasn't the one with the coat ticket, he just pushed me out the front door. What happened at this club was insane, surreal and by far the most traumatic event I have ever experienced.
Staff person shoved me and my husband on separate occasions and used the word "Move" instead of "Excuse me." We happened to be watching the show nearby the end of a barrier that was an access point for the stage. In order to get trashcans into the backstage area, the barrier was repeatedly jammed into our bodies (and other people as well) by staff people. If we had been asked, we would have stepped back. There is a difference between being rude and being assertive. She was just rude. Bathroom attendant informed me that I was required to tip her for a single squirt of hand lotion. Bathroom attendants are supposed to be helpful and make me feel like I am being catered to because I'm a valued patron of a club. Instead it felt like a shakedown. I am unimpressed.
I can't really picture what a girl could ever do to deserve being thrown out of an establishment, and into the cold without her coat. I was minding my own business, not bothering anyone.
AMAZING venue! The space is huge and decorated so nicely! $5 cover is an awesome price for a club this good. Lots of lounge space, special booth areas, even two cell style seats with glass doors you can sit in to talk when the music is too loud. They even have free digital lockers for your things in the back. The VIP areas are nice, but tucked off to the side so they're not in the way. The dance floor is a good space and they play good house-mix style music (we heard Shakira to Blink 182). I loved my time here.
Good for college students (in 20s)
Nasty smell on the dance floor
Super loud
I don't believe I have ever been treated so unjustly by any person or place in my life as I was here. For background, I am a female physician that has always followed all of the rules.
I would prefer to go to uptown bars anytime over this place. Well, it depends on your taste as well so here are some facts about this place:
