Great place! But when one types "ACE" into Google maps, this location does not appear. When one zooms in on the location, the name is "Nicollet Hardware". The website and branding is clearly ACE corporate franchise standard. Is this missing marketing link intentional?
As a kid I had fond memories of going to the local hardware store with my dad and grandfather. Walking into Nicollet Ace smacks me with all that nestalgia. The team and the owners always remember me and are eager to help. This store is a cornerstone in the Kingfield neighborhood and I encourage everyone to support them as often as they have the need. I am always amazed at how large the selection is, they always have what I need.
Great, classic hardware store. I never look for anything. I walk in, tell someone what I'm looking for, and they'll show me right where it is. Bing bang boom, and I'm out of there. The service and convenience are well worth the slightly higher than big-box prices. And they have chickens.
