I love these neighbohood places where I can get almost anything and the people know everything and help me the instant I walk in. Super efficient.
This place is awesome!! Every time I come in here, one of the staff members asks me if I need help within a minute or two. Which is great, because it means that I spend a fraction of the time looking for what I need (compared to how much time I'd spend wandering the aisles without their help). The staff here are so nice and helpful and so friendly!! A few weeks ago, we came to Diamond Lake Hardware to buy about 10 bags of mulch. The man who helped us actually met us outside (we'd called about 15 minutes prior to ask if they even had mulch yet, as it was the beginning of the season). He helped us load the bags of mulch into our car, then took us inside, helped us find the couple other things we needed, then got us all checked out. All in under 10 minutes. And this experience wasn't unique--I have the same experience (consistently helpful, friendly, very knowledgeable staff) every time I shop at Diamond Lake Hardware. You will NEVER want to go back to a Home Depot again after shopping here!
The friendliest place I've found in all of Minneapolis! Great selection of merchandise, nice people who know their stuff. I go out of my way to visit this store.
