I LOVE this place. The art is absolutely amazing. They have so many floors with so many types of art, no matter how many times I have visited, I will never see it all! Visiting this place is not as expensive as you might think, they are donation only (they do have suggested prices and it is good to follow them if you can, but if you can't quite make the prices they ask, you can still get in). On top of this, they have new exhibitions yearly, it's always enjoyable and always exciting to see the art!

Their special exhibits change 2-4 times per year, offering new exhibits to keep your visits fresh. Some of these exhibits have a ticket price associated with the procurement of the collection, but it is generally reasonable. MIA offers a wife selection here too that keeps people returning to the museum time and time again. I have seen collections of clothing and art from European nobility one month and Japanese pop art the next.

Such a great place, filled to bursting with interesting pieces and fun stuff. Hours worth of material to see, and they've always got an exhibit on rotation that (though it isn't always free like the rest of the museum) is extra fun, special stuff that they get on loan from other museums or donors. Very fun, absolutely worth checking out!

A fine institution. Free to the public with sponsored events that you must pay to get into. There is a helpful staff there that is happy to assist you. Near the busline and a nice park. Lots of sidewalk. Cool if you are into art, history and culture. You will not regret it

Parents, it is worth checking if they have any children's exhibits at the time if your visit.

A museum to grow up with. This center of art and culture in Minneapolis is open to the public by donation, and they provide people off all agreed with access to art and history. From ancient Chinese ceramics to Prairie style architecture, MIA has a wide variety of exhibits so you are sure to find something you like. Their third floor is dedicated to classic western art and you will find masters like Monet and O'Keeffe hanging on their walls.

Just an incredible place, more so when you consider it is free. It's just absolutely huge and you can easily spend a day there looking at all of the galleries. It's kept up well, clean and impressive. Please consider donating if you go, places like this are so important for our culture.
