Apparently getting a car key that flips out of the fob (the kind almost all new cars have) cut is asking WAY TOO MUCH of the locksmiths in Minnesota.
The next day I got it successfully cut at Apollo Locksmith in St.Paul for $5!!

Came here to get a key blank cut for my car. The guy said my blank wouldn’t fit in his machine and offered no advice for getting it cut. He told me that all locksmiths have the same machine. What kind of locksmith can’t figure out how to cut a key? I got it cut at another shop with the same machine.
