For all those reviews that say the beer is no good.... Maybe you aught to go try brewing your own, do a better job, and not bother the people that DO like the beer here. These guys have a great setup, and a variety of tasty beer. They have awesome live shows during the summer and it's a very cool and fun atmosphere.
I'm not a fan personally of their beers, but that doesn't mean they don't make exceptional products. The service is great, and I love the commitment to the community. I got a free pint for donating blood, and they hosted an excellent museum meet up that made me really feel like I belonged.
Decent beer, huge and spacious beer hall style atmosphere, open seating outside, and no shortage of events and food trucks to offer incentives to return. For the most part I love going there for beer with my friends and biking on down, but Trivia Mafia night gets a bit on the crowded side and it invariably takes forever to get a pint. So if you go on super busy nights, plan ahead and order a couple pints for yourself so you don't have to go up right away after you've finished your first.
The worst beer/location balancing act. Poor beer/Good location. I rather have great beer and a poor location. Just saying. Try Boom Island Brewing. Most underrated place because of the location. Ask for Jim.
Large indoor and outdoor area. And this place is pretty popular for the evening crowd, though my visit was during the day with family. The beer is okay, but nothing that would have me come back often. I did like the unique Blood Orange Radler they had available and overall service was nice. Just not my kind of beer taste.
